Based in our Support Centre office in Melbourne, our 2-year Graduate program will accelerate your career. Your Graduate journey will include 6-month rotations in up to 4 different departments. Not only will you be exposed to a curated mix of creative and business-oriented projects, you will have the opportunity to be involved in transformational initiatives with exposure to some of the latest technologies in the market, digital innovation, and experiential marketing like you’ve never seen before. We’ll provide you with access to an engaging and supportive team environment, game-changing leaders, and extensive training and mentorships to support your growth with MECCA.  By the time your journey as a Graduate is coming to an end, you’ll be primed to stay on, continue to grow and drive change.

First class training & development

The first week of our Graduate program is dedicated to formal learning and development, to equip you with the skills to excel at MECCA Brands right from the start. We also provide you with a wide range of continual support and training throughout the program, including:

  • Pairing you with a coach and buddy to mentor, guide and support you
  • Workshops between rotations, with cross-functional Graduate team projects
  • Regular presentations by inspiring speakers from all around the world
  • Leadership, brand and core skills training

All this in a non-conformist and evolving environment where ideas and innovation are valued from all team members.

The nitty gritty

Key dates for the 2021 program

  • 10 February 2020 at 10:00 am AEDT – Applications open
  • March 2020 - Follow us on LinkedIn and Instagram to be the first to hear about opportunities to meet us and connect with us
  • 29 March 2020 at 11:59 pm AEDT – Applications close
  • April 2020 – If you are selected, complete our online interview and activities
  • Late April/early May 2020 – If you make it to the next round, participate in our Graduate Recruitment Forum in Melbourne
  • By mid-May 2020 – Offers made and finalised
  • Summer of 2020/2021 – Graduates without previous experience in a MECCA store will join us from October 2020 as a Summer Store Host and spend the summer learning about our amazing customers and exclusive products
  • Late January/early February 2021 – Your whole Graduate cohort will start at our Support Centre in Richmond, Melbourne, with a dedicated induction program, followed by rotations through up to 4 of our departments over the course of 2 years

The recruitment process

Four stage process

  • Stage 1 - Apply online. Applications open on Monday 10 February 2020 at 10:00 am, and close on Sunday 29 March 2020 at 11:59 pm (AEDT Melbourne time). Be sure to click submit before the 11:59 pm cut-off, and don’t miss out!
  • Stage 2 - Online activities. If you are selected, complete a short video interview and some online activities.
  • Stage 3 - Graduate Recruitment Forum. If you make it to the next round, participate in our Graduate Recruitment Forum in late April or early May 2020 - the precise date will be communicated to successful applicants.
  • Stage 4 - Offers. We will make and finalise offers by mid-May 2020.

About you

We’re looking for highly driven, curious, and innovative Graduates who aren’t afraid to think differently, get their hands dirty and change the game!

If that sounds like you, and you can answer ‘yes’ to each of the following questions, we’d love to receive your application:

  • Are you (or by the end of this year, will you be) a university Graduate from the class of 2018, 2019 or 2020?
  • Do you have a weighted average mark of 65 or more?
  • Are you based in Melbourne or are you willing to meet us in Melbourne for any recruitment related activities and re-locate to Melbourne for the Graduate program?
  • Are you an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or do you hold Australian PermanentResidency?
  • Do you have previous or current experience working as a Store Host in one of our MECCA stores? If not, are you available from October 2020 to work as a Summer Store Host over the summer of 2020/2021 in your local MECCA Brands store, to learn about our amazing customers and exclusive products?
  • Are you passionate about going places with your career, rotating through up to 4 teams in our Support Centre and becoming a future leader of MECCA Brands?
